Life in Paris is awesome. It's slowly and teasingly becoming spring and pic-nics are my new favourite passtime! I've made a bunch of wonderful friends and it really feels like home here. I'm getting excited to visit my real home soon though, I miss my siblings and friends, but don't know if i want to leave this beautiful place for good at the end of the summer.
I will for sure be back.... maybe to study??? hopefully!
sigh
oh the blank canvas of the future...

Sketches i did over Christmas Break.
Well, I thought i'd post some sketches i did over Chrismas Break... the two first I did from a Dental Care add i found in a magazine; LOL. and the last one was my hand laying on the table (you may notice that i made my thumb-nail look longer than it actually is.) I'm sure i would be inclined to do more studies of my hand if i'd just stop biting my finger nails.

I did a lot morre sketches over Christmas but don't really like any of them... inspiration was really lacking and i guess i just wanted to relax and enjoy my little French family and soak up the sun of the south...
-
This week is gonna be an artful one though, i can feel it. go 2010! Good things are to come.

Norah Jones and Snow
I've been listneing to a lot of Norah Jones lately (as always) So i thought i'd try and draw her. As much as I hate posting unfinished work, I did promisse to blog more, so here she is... still needing some work. If you look up "the prettiest thing" on youtube by her, you'll see the photograph i'm using to draw this. fantastic song. great pic.

Well, it's 4pm in Paris. which means i have to go pick up the kids at school soon. Oh and get this: I can't even take them to the park because all the parks in the area are closed due to the snow... The gates are barred off with signs of people slipping and falling... it's so funny. I'm like... this would never happen in Canada. it's only -3 and there's not even 2 cm of snow and ice. what the heck! get over it Parisians, it's only snow, it's not going to kill us.
Missing Canada and it's tough snow-braving people. ;)
